| Death-god Ryuk leaves his killing instrument, the Death Note, in the mortal world just to see what will happen. This notebook clearly states that any person’s name written in it shall die. Law student, “Light Yagami” accidentally picks up this notebook. After reading the directions on how to use the book he takes it upon himself of ridding criminal elements of the society by using the Death Note. Baffled by the series of so many unexplained deaths of criminals, the authorities enlist the help of a young genius called “L” to uncover the truth behind these events. Soon a dangerous battle of wits ensures between the mysterious and eccentric “L” and the increasingly calculating “Light”. |
